"The Electric Mouse Comedy Collective was grandly launched in March 2006 as a heady blend of socialism, capitilism, collectivism and egotism..."
The idea was to develop a company (The Electric Mouse) which would then provide financial and moral support to a collective of new comedians, writers and promoters who would work together to create an expansive network of first rate (and initially a few third rate) comedy venues where we could showcase our comedy... demonstrate our art... and one day get paid.
The collective started in March 2006 with Padraig and Gary and one venue in Palmers Green (not much of a collective- even the audience where eerily absent for the first few months!). However the collective quickly grew and now has many fantastic venues all run by the motley lot listed below. We are always opening more venues (we've probably opened another venue whilst you've been reading this) and are looking for more like-minded fools to get involved in the project.
Electric Mouse, as well as supporting new venues, is now supporting new writing groups, filmed projects and radio projects... (watch this space)...
